Leather Collar
I remember the scratch of the fibers
As they clawed my skin from me
Green rakes and sandy fires
Swallowed in swift slick seas
I wished the sun would rain down
To burn me nice and crispy
My spine was ice and soon enough
My brain and I were dizzy
Choked and heaving
And deceiving myself
Preparing for death in reality
This will never end
This is my life now
This entity, my body, and me.
