Tea and Scones Reveal Stuff
I wander and wonder and fiddle and blunder,
While everyone and the whole world spin asunder.
I’m afraid that I chose the wrong time to grow up,
For my questions want answers that aren’t abrupt.
What happened to science?
To classy debate?
What convinced us it’s alright to live in this state?
We should work on the world,
As we work on ourselves,
But we bicker and yell (and the Russians drop shells)
A person who tells us what everyone thinks!
That is only creating more chinks in our links.
I wish that we all could be kinder and good,
I’ll work on myself first; I think that I should.
